Afinitor 10 mg (everolimus) is an oncology medicine that interferes with the growth of cancer cells and slows their spread in the body. The Afinitor brand of everolimus is used to treat certain types of kidney cancer, breast cancer, or brain tumor. It is usually given after other cancer medications have been tried without successful treatment. Everolimus 10mg is also used to treat non-cancerous (benign) kidney tumors, and certain types of advanced or progressive tumors of the pancreas.

Afinitor 10 mg (Everolimus Tablets ) prevents the growth of cancer cells and is used to treat advanced kidney cancer. Afinitor 10 mg , 5 mg is used to treat kidney cancer.It is also used to treat certain tumors in the brain.It works by slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells.

Read the Patient Information Leaflet if available from your pharmacist before you start taking Afinitor (everolimus) 10mg and each time you get a refill.If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Take Afinitor Tablet by mouth with or without food, usually once daily or as directed by your doctor.Swallow Afinitor (everolimus) 10mg whole with a glass of water.Do not crush, chew, or break the tablets.

Dosage of Afinitor  is based on your medical condition, interacting drugs, and response to treatment.

Use afinitor 10 mg Tablet regularly to get the most benefit from it.To help you remember, take it at the same time each day.

Do not increase your dose or take medicine more often without your doctor’s approval.Your condition will not improve any faster and the risk of serious side effects may be increased.

Avoid eating grapefruit or drinking grapefruit juice while using Medicine unless your doctor instructs you otherwise.Grapefruit can increase the amount of medicine in your bloodstream.Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details.

Since medicine can be absorbed through the skin and lungs, women who are pregnant or who may become pregnant should not handle Afinitor (everolimus) 10mg or breathe the dust from the tablets.

Common side effects include mouth ulcers. AFINITOR can cause mouth ulcers and sores. Tell your healthcare provider if you have pain, discomfort, or open sores in your mouth. Your healthcare provider may tell you to use a special mouthwash or gel that does not contain alcohol, peroxide, iodine, or thyme.

Store at room temperature at 77 degrees F (25 degrees C) away from light and moisture.Brief storage between 59-86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C) is permitted.Do not store in the bathroom.Keep all medicines away from children and pets.
